Psychotherapy for Anxiety/ Stress/ Anger/ Panics

Many clients report feeling any of these symptoms, either in isolation or together that can make the experience quite terrifying.

 

For some it is the result of a busy schedule or lifestyle, due to work commitments or other responsibilities at home i.e. taking care of young children, of older parents, or supporting a disabled family member etc.

 

Excess stress can trigger both anxiety feelings and/ or panic attacks at times and places that seem irrelevant to otherwise meaningful situations e.g. feeling panicky when walking your dog, feeling breathless, or in more extreme situations thinking that you suffering a heart attack; in fact the trigger could be e.g. your experience and relations at work, and your angry feelings at yourself for not being able to deal with it.  

 

Existential psychotherapy and counselling can support you to look at the current as well as previous life events that have contributed to the expression of these feelings and physical sensations now. We will address how you are making sense of these situations and explore how best you think you can see a way through.

 

In the process, we may practice different ways of regaining focus and your sense of being able to look at life the way it really is for you.
